Traditional Loft Boarding

 Our Loft2Store.co.uk cross boarding is used when raised floor boarding isn't suitable such as:

​

• Where there is little headroom in the loft space

• The loft is larger, in an older style house and the baring weight load is supported evenly as the foundations have settled 

 

Cross boarding still allows the insulation to breath, different base units are added as a foundation and the upper lever of boarding is heavier. 

​

• Stilts are used as a base, rather than a lightweight  frame,

• Chipboarding is then fixed over the stilts to hold the flooring in place  

 

This is suitable for older properties and spaces where headroom is tight.   Cross boarding is slightly the cheaper  in monetary terms of the two methods for boarding your loft.
